For the past several weeks, we’ve seen a major strike by farmworkers at the Oak Valley farm in Grabouw in the Western Cape. The strike centres around demands by the workers and their union, CSAAWU for decent wages and living conditions. The union has also alleged that the farm owners are guilty of apartheid era labour practices.

In this show we learn more about the strike and the extent to which the conditions of farmworkers have improved from the apartheid era, especially since the huge strike by farmworkers in 2013.
